Untuk lebih memasyarakatkan GNU/Linux di kalangan pelajar, mahasiswa dan umum, serta guna mengurangi tingkat pembajakan di Indonesia (khususnya di kota Yogyakarta kita tercinta ini), maka UKDW NET CLUB + KSL UKDW kembali akan mengadakan acara Install Fest yang sekarang berganti nama menjadi UKDW NUTZ! (Linux InstallFezt!) 2.0.

Pada acara ini, terdapat acara workshop dan live demo dimana peserta bisa mendapatkan penjelasan tentang proses installasi sistem operasi GNU/Linux agar bisa berdampingan dengan Sistem Operasi Windows.
Kami juga menyediakan beberapa file ISO Linux yang bisa disalin atau dibakar di CD/DVD untuk diinstall langsung pada saat acara berlangsung. Selain itu juga akan ada sesi konsultasi, dimana para pengunjung bisa berkonsultasi dengan sesama pengguna GNU/Linux yang lain apabila menghadapi kendala dalam mengoperasikan sistem operasi GNU/Linux.

Plurk doesn’t need this new user to be validated from your new email or something. Plurk just added your friends invited + 1 right after those user successed in the registration from your profile invitation link.

last but not least, I suggest you to use this every 4-6 hours so Plurk will not curious and suspicious about your activities. It is also the effective time to update your karma. one thing that I missed is just about the Boot Screen Logo, I still cannot change it into another image (I don’t really like the original jailbreak one – apple with some node ).. could anyone tell me how to restore the original apple boot logo back without changing everything (application music videos that already in my ipod) ?

Virus Conficker yang juga dikenal sebagai Downadup atau ada yang menyebutnya Kido menyebar ke seluruh internet pada Januari lalu dengan cara sulit dideteksi. Dalam empat hari jutaan komputer telah menjadi korban. Saat ini, virus itu sudah beranak pinak menjadi delapan varian.
Conficker diperkirakan melakukan hal besar pada 1 April dan menyebabkan kiamat pada jaringan internet. Indikasi itu didapat, saat perusahaan keamanan membongkar isi virus dan mendapati kode, Conficker mengontak komputer pembuatnya pada 1 April dan menunggu perintah yang harus dilakukan.
Serangan Conficker ini menjadi topik besar koran dunia. Koran The Sun Inggris menuliskan “Jutaan komputer di seluruh dunia akan meleleh pada 1 April, karena virus yang mematikan. Worm Windows yang disebut Conficker bisa memberikan akses tak terbatas ke mesin yang terinfeksi di seluruh dunia,”.
Sementara The Globe and Mail Kanada menuliskan “World Wide Web (WWW) berpotensi akan rusak, kode berbahaya itu telah menyebabkan militer Prancis harus mendaratkan pesawat tempurnya”.
Selama enam bulan terakhir Conficker telah membuat teknisi komputer tidak bisa tidur nyenyak dalam menjaga sistem komputer perusahaan maupun pemerintahan agar tetap aman. Conficker diperkirakan telah menginfeksi 3 juta hingga 12 juta PC yang menjalankan sistem operasi Windows milik Microsoft Corp.
Conficker pertama kali muncul akhir November lalu, dengan mengeksploitasi permasalahan pada software Microsoft. Raksasa software telah mengeluarkan tambalan, tapi komputer yang belum menginstal tambalan itu masih banyak dan rawan terinfeksi. Lebih gawat lagi virus ini juga bisa menyebar melalui USB flash disk.
Lalu apakah Conficker sudah membuat kerusakan pada 1 April? Sampai saat ini, Conficker.C belum menunjukkan gejala melakukan sesuatu yang besar.
Sementara bagi pengguna computer rumahan maupun perkantoran, Conficker bisa diperintahkan untuk menghancurkan data penting, seperti data MS Office (MS Word, Excel atau database). Selain juga bisa melumpuhkan komputer dengan melakukan format hardisk.
Mendeteksi komputer yang sudah terinfeksi Conficker sangat mudah. Salah satu tanda komputer sudah jadi korban adalah jika lancar berselancar di internet, namun tidak bisa mengakses situs Microsoft.
Termasuk tidak bisa mengakses situs vendor anti virus ternama. Pembuat Conficker memasukkan fitur itu untuk mencegah mesin yang terinfeksi, agar tidak bisa mendowload program penghapus virus.
Selain itu jaringan komputer harus dilindungi dengan program antivirus yang terupdate . Kemampuan Conficker yang bisa menyebar melalui flashdisk menyebabkan virus ini cepat menyebar di Indonesia. Namun faktor utama Conficker bisa menyebar dengan cepat adalah, karena mengeksploitasi celah keamanan MS 08-067 yang belum ditambal dengan lengkap.

So, i know that MAC is good. I know the design is beautiful.
I still can accept the security is good. and lots of accessories is very cost.
but after a decade comparing the differences between the users, I can simply conclude that mostly, mac users is the most unethical user !!
why ??? so many2 mac lovers say that mac is the best, that’s still a common thing for fanatic fans. but the disrespect things by throwing some offensive illustrates, words or even state different level between mac and other PC is really2 annoying for me.

simply i can say i can buy 10 mac book cash but i never want to buy any. I’m not a Mac lover and I’m MS & Linux user. I never talk about mac is the superior or something. but my friends say (s)he would never use another notebook brands like acer, toshiba, vaio because mac is in the upper level. woa ??? what a disgusttinggg -peep- statement…
simply i can say that he/she is just an amateur who fanatic to a single WORD : MAC.

to be honest, i love the MAC LCD screen and IPhone too, but i don’t know how can they feel so hype about the other product compare with others ?
